One of my favorite movies is Rush Hour, released in 1998 and starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. It’s a buddy-cop story about two crimefighters from opposite sides of the globe who come together to search for a kidnapped little girl - and they are very, very different, in everything from fighting styles from musical choices. I know it’s a cliche, but it’s hilarious because it works. Jackie Chan is a serious martial artist and Chris Tucker is a flamboyant LAPD cop, and they clash at every opportunity even as they refuse to admit they’re becoming friends. I love stories like that, where two people come together under unusual circumstances and make the best of it. Not to mention, Jackie and Chris have amazing comedic timing!

Rush Hour is one of those movies that I can’t pass up when I catch it on directtv. Every time, without fail, I just have to stop and watch. And to further suck away my time, they’re usually broadcast with both sequels - so I’m stuck on the couch all day, watching action scenes I can’t seem to get enough of, and quoting the movie back at the characters like I’m really there.

Rush Hour should come with a warning label!

If you’re currently using a dial-up Internet connection, you know just how time-consuming such simple online activities as shopping, banking, research, and video viewing can be. As a former dial-up user, I’m well aware of the serious limitations of dial-up Internet, and I’m sure you are, too.

Back in my early Internet days, when I used a dial-up connection, I felt continually frustrated by slow connection times, the inability to have multiple tabs open at the same time without losing my connection completely, and the difficulty or impossibility of watching videos online because of loading issues. Downloads took far too long, and I found my inability to receive phone calls while online extremely inconvenient. No doubt you’ve experienced these same frustrations as a dial-up user.

The good news is that there’s a great answer to the dial-up Internet dilemma: Broadband satellite internet Satellite Internet. Since I’ve switched to broadband, the difference has been enormous. I no longer sit in front of my computer screen waiting five minutes to be connected to the Internet. In our fast-paced modern world, no one has time for that!

I can now open multiple tabs as I complete my research and check my e-mail in yet another new tab with no problems whatsoever. I can go on my favorite blogs blogs, I can surf the Net as much as I’d like, visit Facebook or Twitter, and do my shopping or banking online without having to continually log off and back on again due to a lost connection. I can watch videos without having to deal with streaming speeds that can’t keep up with playback speeds. Needless to say, this gives me far greater flexibility than I had with dial-up Internet. WildBlue Broadband Satellite Internet is also available in areas that don’t offer cable or DSL.

All in all, Broadband wild blue internet is so far superior to dial-up that there’s simply no comparison. To my mind, there’s absolutely no question that an upgrade would be well worth the extra expense.
